Americans are passionate. We speak up when we think something is wrong.  We're free to openly debate. It's our right, and we're all better for it.

Until we're not better for it.

If you're like me, your Facebook feed has been over-run.  You've seen conflicts escalate.  You've seen friendships lost.  You've lost respect for people who have said, or posted, hurtful things.

I know we can't completely diffuse this social media situation, but we've decided to try to do our part.

Here is your 24 hour challenge if you choose to join us...

1.  Post only positive, non-political items on your Facebook page.
2.  Fight the urge to comment, like, or click on anything political.
3.  Go out of your way to do something unusually positive during the next 24 hours.

Here's what we're doing....

For the next 24 hours, we'll donate a jump rope to a kid for every order that comes through our website.

Don't get us wrong, we love the First Amendment, but it just seems like it's time to take a step back, take a deep breath, and quietly learn to care for each other again.
