Staying (Cross)Fit This Summer...

"Do you even gym bro?" ..."Hey guys, look who's back!" ...and "Welcome!  How did you hear about CrossFit?"

...These are all phrases you might hear at your box this Fall if you don't hang on tight to your commitment to fitness.

It can be easy to fall off the wagon while you're on vacation, and then slip off the radar for a Nutella-lavished, couch-surfing, binge for a month or two.

Don't let this happen to you!

Here are 3 simple ways to keep keep from losing your gains during the summer months.

1.  Visit a new gym.

Nothing will replace the benefits of being in a CrossFit gym, and the longer CrossFit is around, the more likely it is that they will have a box where you're going.

Ask Siri where to find the nearest CrossFit while you're out of town, or go to their website, and check out the interactive map:

https://map.crossfit.com/

Most gyms will have a way for you to drop in for a small fee, a T-shirt purchase, or no money at all, and it's super fun to meet new people, and check out a new box.

If you're worried about fitting in at a new box...don't be.  I've been to TONS of gyms while on the road, and I've never felt out of place, even when I was brand new to CrossFit.  The more you visit gyms while you're out of town, the more you'll love the CrossFit community at large.

2.  Click Below, or google "Comprehensive Bodyweight Workouts."

This PDF has been making the rounds in the CrossFit community for quite some time, and it's a great tool when you're stuck on the road, or just can't make it to the box.

3.  Do Tabata Workouts.

EVERYONE can aim for healthy food choices, and find 4 minutes a day to get in a quick Tabata workout while they're on the road.  We URGE you to AT LEAST do this one thing every day while you're out and about...

Pick out 1 body-weight movement (Push-Ups, Pull-Ups, Sit-Ups, Burpees, Double-Unders..etc), and perform 8 rounds of 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest (4 min).

This bare minimum practice will keep you from walking in the door like a CF newbie when you get back from vacation, and you'll be glad you stayed moving.  Again...This is the BARE MINIMUM!

"Staying active" on vacation is NOT the same as a dose of purposed exercise while your gone, so be tough, be a little disciplined, and hold on to your fitness by at least getting a Tabata workout in every day.

You can do this!  We believe in you :)
